We were lucky enough to get the blueprints from a remodel of Kraemer House that began in 1944. It was an extensive renovation and numerous changes occurred to keep up with a more modern lifestyle. For example, closets were added to divide this larger space into two rooms—a bedroom and a smaller “sewing room” as the blueprint called it. For the master suite, we decided to remove the closets and create a large room once again and divide it with a wall in the middle to create two separate spaces: A master bedroom and media room, or den. The brick wall matches the brick on the exterior of the house and closets were cleverly hidden in what is essentially the headboard on one side and media wall on the other.
