I need your help! You’ve heard we’re getting chickens, right? I know, I know — I’ve only posted about it here, here, and here. Well, the chickens are going to live in this super cool coop but we need to paint it — well, actually stain it — to protect the wood it’s built out of.
That’s where you come in: Help us pick the color!
We’ve narrowed it down to to an earthy brown, a crisp white, and a warm red.
- How the color will look with the metal roof?
- How will it look in the summer with everything green or in the dead of winter?
- An arbor with climbing vines will eventually live on the front.
- How will it look with the house?
Each color has merits and there’s no definite perfect choice but your input will make it easier for us to decide. So click around and see it in the different seasons before you make your choice and then leave is a comment below with brown, white, or red.
Thanks for your input!
Here’s a sneak peek at the chicken run! Rich has been building it this winter in the barns and this is the first two-thirds. In total it will be 30 feet long so the chickens will have lots of room to roam while being totally protected from the dangers lurking around.
