While it takes an ordinary bird more than 30 hours to build a nest in the spring, you can make these cute little White Chocolate-Pretzel Easter Egg Nests in just a few minutes!
Recipe type: Sweet Treats
Serves: 10
  • 1 cup (6-ounces) white chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening, plain or butter-flavor
  • 2 cups (about 5-ounces) pretzel sticks, broken into bite-size pieces
  • 30 candy-coated milk chocolate mini eggs or speckled jelly beans
  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.
  2. Place the white chocolate chips and shortening in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in microwave oven on 50% power until melted, about 1 - 1½ minutes. Pour the melted chocolate over the pretzels and mix to combine.
  3. Form mixture into 10 "nests" and place on prepared baking sheet. Place in refrigerator 10 minutes to set up.
  4. Top each nest with 3 mini chocolate eggs and enjoy!
Microwaves vary so be sure to monitor the chocolate as too much heat will cause it to seize. Stir after each 15-second interval.
